Network Video Recorder Featuring Single-Stage Secure Compression and RetrievalThe MAVIX StreamR is a Network Video Recorder (NVR) that improves the quality and capabilities of digital surveillance solutions by recording video streams directly via the IP network. Because data is streamed to the hard drive in its compressed state, the StreamR unit can be located anywhere on the network. This is an improvement over traditional digital video recorders, which must be connected to a coaxial cable in a fixed location. StreamR achieves this high quality by only requiring the captured video to be compressed at the camera end before being recorded to the hard drive. The reliance on only one compression stage improves security by ensuring that video signal remains untouched until it is replayed, reducing the danger of signal tampering. The parameters and frame rate of the recorded video can be controlled and adjusted on-the-fly using the MAVIX StreamR software. The StreamR system stores recorded video on its internal Hard disks or on an external RAID system. It can record images and video streams according to a predefined timetable, in response to reception of predefined alarms, or on a combination of both timetable and alarm reception. You can retrieve and replay streams from anywhere on the network by using the user-friendly MAVIEW Console and MAVIEW Player software.
